ABOUT

TransFORM

The Transport Transformation and Innovation Knowledge Platform (“TransFORM”) was jointly established by the Government of China and the World Bank, to help make comprehensive transport safer, cleaner, and more affordable for the development of China, and capturing and sharing Chinese experience with other countries of interest.

It was initiated in November 2012, based on a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that set up the China-World Bank Knowledge Hub, and formalized in July 2014 through an MoU between the Ministry of Transport of China (MoT) and the World Bank.

TransFORM, as a knowledge platform, aims to deepen engagement and promote knowledge exchange among decision makers, practitioners and development partners, and pilot innovative solutions by means of in-person workshops and the online information platform. The evolved TransFORM has six focus areas that are aligned with the World Bank’s business priorities for transport: (a) regional connectivity and logistics, (b) safe and resilient road infrastructure; (c) inclusive urban mobility, (d) transport decarbonization, (e) transport financing, and (f) technology and innovation.

The TransFORM website is jointly developed by China Transport News (CTN) who is entrusted by China MoT, and the World Bank China Office.
